Bettor is a unique site that combines sports betting and social networking to create an unusual, yet exciting social betting community. Although not quite prominent enough yet to be described as the ‘facebook of the betting world’ the combination does mean there’s a place online for those who like betting just as much for its social aspect as they do for the thrill of the bet. Many users of online gambling report that one of the things they miss the most is attending the bookmakers in person to place their bets and chatting with other bettors about their tips, tricks and suggestions for successful betting. With Bettor, all this is changed, as users are encouraged to chat to each other (and indeed, there are loads of facilities in place to make this easier) as part of the Bettor experience. If this sounds like the sort of online gambling site you would be interested in, it would definitely be worth giving Bettor a go.
The main premise of Bettor is that users can enjoy placing bets on a wide range of sports and events (including horseracing, rugby, football, golf, greyhound racing, formula one and more) whilst also interacting with other users. The site provides its users with a range of tools in order to make this happen more fluidly, with the forums, polls and live chat being the most well-used amongst these. Users can share tips and sports news in the Bettor blogs, whilst also getting their questions answered by the Bettor community in the Q&A section of the site. For us, the biggest downside to the service was that there are no promotions or bonuses on offer as far as we could discern. The service is relatively new however, so we’re hoping these are on their way!
Although many users will be disappointed by the lack of promotions on offer here – indeed we were – for some this will be a price they are willing to pay for the additional, social-community based features that are on offer here. It will come as no surprise to many users (given how saturated the online gambling market is in the UK) that this site isn’t as well used as others in this market (indeed, this is the main reason why it fails to make our top ten in this category). As this site grows and develops, we’re sure its popularity will increase and more and more users will be turned on to this new way of placing bets within a social environment. If you’re excited by what Bettor has to offer, give it a go today.
